The President
As the president of the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce for the 2005 fiscal year, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Chamber. With over 50 years of service to the businesses of Carbon County, the Chamber has committed itself to serving the needs of local businesses. As with every Chamber of Commerce in America, our local Chamber is only as strong as its members. And our Chamber has some dedicated members working to futher business in Carbon County.
The Chamber's mission has always been to enhance the economic interests of the businesses it represents. That mission continues today. The chamber has most recently been involved in so many activites its hard to mention each one. Allow me to mention just a few:
  • In 2004 the Chamber started a Business After Hours program that has become very popular where local businesses sponsor an After Hours open house at their place of business.
  • In 2004 the Chamber was actively involved in the first annual "Downtown Alive" celebration.
  • In 2004 the Chamber participated in 26 ribbon cuttings to date for new businesses in Carbon County.
  • In 2004 a membership drive was held in May/June--over 30 new Chamber members were recruited.
  • Participated in International Days in July--over 100 vendors handled by the Chamber.
  • The Chamber also sponsors a luncheon easch month with speaksers and informative presentations.
The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce has a dedicated Board of Directors that extends many volunteer hours enhancing the business presance of its members.
I would invite and welcome you to take an active part in our Chamber of Commerce activities.
Thank You,
Jeff Manley, 2005 Chamber President.
